Study Permit Extension

If your current study permit is expiring and you want to continue your studies, you would be required to extend your current study permit by applying for an extension.

What are the documents required for study permit extension?

• Properly filled application form (by IRCC) for the change of conditions, an extension of stay in Canada as a student.
• A valid passport
• Your certificate of enrollment of your current program of study
• Letter of acceptance for the new program of study you are enrolled in.
• Proof of Financial Support: You should be able to provide documents in support of the fact that you have enough funds to cover yourself while you are studying in Canada. The funds demonstrated to allow you to cover your expenses such as tuition fees for first-year and also the cost of living.
